After the fantastic response to 'Mosaic Reshaped & Unreleased' on Sushitech we are happy to announce the release of a new triple pack from Steve O'Sullivan that will present the sound of his classic Dub Techno alias, Bluetrain.
For those that don't know, Bluetrain was a sub label of the legendary Mosaic and was a true classic label from the 90's where Steve released quality dub techno and house along with some fantastic collaborations with the likes of Ben Sims and Lee Grainge.
As you can imagine, the prices of those seminal Bluetrain records on the second hand market is extremely high and together with Steve we are giving those that missed the records the first time around the opportunity to buy these rare and unique tracks for a fair price once again. We wanted to ensure that the authentic analogue sound of Bluetrain and the unique cutting style of the records was repeated with this release so we have decided to master the tracks with the original Bluetrain mastering engineer. All tracks will be mastered and cut by Guy Davie (Tricky, iTunes etc) at the Electric Mastering Studios which is very advanced studio using rare analogue gear such as the EMI TG console and Fairchild 670. It's unusual to use this kind of mastering in today's Techno scene because of the very high price but nevertheless it was very important to us to keep the original sound and vibe of the tracks!
